At Arrow Senior Living, we love small businesses. And honestly, if we’re being real, most large businesses started out as a small business at some point. Even Arrow began as a small business called Turn-Around Solutions. The original vision was simple: step into a community for 6–12 months, get everything running smoothly, and then move on to the next. The rest of that story is for another time, but it’s a powerful reminder of how something small can grow into something incredible. So, when we say we LOVE small businesses, we truly mean it. Behind every small business is someone’s dream, someone’s risk, someone’s hard work, and that’s something we’re passionate about supporting.
This Small Business Day, our teams hit the streets in a big way through Creative Follow-Ups (CFUs) and support. Each department head in our communities selected a local business to support, and collectively, as a company, we showed up for over 350 small businesses. Even saying that out loud feels incredible! What may seem like a small act can make a big impact.

Our teams didn’t just stop in, they intentionally supported each business by making a purchase or leaving a gift, writing a Google review, and sharing their experience on social media. It was a simple but meaningful way to give back to the communities that support us every day.
Supporting local businesses reflects the culture of a strong community. Choosing to support local businesses recognizes the hard work, vision, and service they bring to the people around them. Every small business represents commitment, risk, and a desire to make a meaningful contribution, and that deserves recognition.
Across Arrow communities, this value is expressed in intentional and practical ways. Teams actively seek opportunities to partner with local businesses through events, creative follow-ups, and everyday purchasing decisions. The focus remains on building relationships, not simply completing transactions. By investing locally, Arrow communities help create stronger, more connected environments where businesses, residents, and neighbors can thrive.
Throughout Arrow, teams celebrated mom-and-pop businesses in meaningful ways by recognizing a wide range of local partners, from coffee shops and restaurants to in-home rehab providers and dental offices. Each business was selected for the unique role it plays in supporting residents and enriching community life.
Several types of businesses stood out for their lasting impact. Local coffee shops offer more than convenience; they provide familiarity, comfort, and connection. In-home rehab partners play an essential role in helping residents maintain independence and quality of life. Local restaurants create welcoming spaces for gathering, celebrating, and enjoying meaningful time together. Some businesses meet essential needs, some create joy, and others offer comfort, but all contribute to what makes a community feel like home.

Arrow communities continue to strengthen these relationships throughout the year through Acts of Service projects. Each community participates in these efforts, and many focus on engaging with and supporting businesses in the local area. Whether through partnerships for events, intentional visits, words of encouragement, or shared service opportunities, these efforts create meaningful and lasting connections.

This approach goes beyond one-time recognition. By showing up consistently, building trust, and supporting local businesses year-round, Arrow communities foster a deeper sense of connection. As a result, residents, team members, and local business owners all feel more valued, supported, and connected to the community around them.
Supporting small businesses isn’t just something we do one day a year, it’s part of how we show up in the greater community every day. These businesses are the heart of our neighborhoods, and building those relationships creates a deeper sense of connection for our residents, our teams, and the people we serve.
As you read through the highlights from our community, the hope is that the same excitement and pride is felt. Because when we support local, we’re not just making a purchase; we’re investing in people, in dreams, and in the place we call home.
We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our team.
