Arrow Senior Living Shares a Note of Gratitude

Category: Senior Living

Author: The Regional Directors of Operations

2022 has allowed me to be thankful for Arrow leaders that are flexible and coachable. Being flexible and coachable has allowed Arrow to continue to grow in spite of the ever-changing industry and economic environment that we navigate through daily.

2022 is my first full year as Regional Director of Operations and my 5th year with Arrow. As I reflect on the past five years, I am grateful for the patience my previous regionals and so many others had in letting me find the way to a solution during my various roles in a community and for being there with guidance, but not judgment, when the solution doesn’t work as expected.  Thank you to our staff, residents, and families for allowing us to be part of your journey. It really is the greatest gift.

Every Thanksgiving we take time to focus on the things that we are most thankful for, this year things hit a bit different for me. In times where you may not be receiving the best news or in the best head space it’s so important to focus on the good. My husband, children, family, friends, and coworkers are of course the big ones and have helped me remain positive, but this year I’ve been focusing on the little things as well. Those include being able to spend an extra few moments cuddling with my girls in the morning before starting our day, having a cup of coffee on the weekends with my husband before the girls wake up, slowing down and not scheduling every moment of the week, and catching up with my mom and sister with a phone call at the end of the week. I am grateful for every single person in my life and thankful for all the love and support they give every day, but especially the last few months. I am grateful to be able to work for a company that values my continued growth as well as supporting me 100% both professionally and personally.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the most innovative, dedicated, and skilled senior living teams in our industry. I am grateful for our residents who chose to be a part of our communities and share their life stories with us. Together, we are not only stronger, we also make a difference in each other’s lives.
