Arrow Senior Living Prepares for Warmer Weather

Category: Senior Living

Author: Tracy Powers, Regional Plant Operations Coordinator

As our homes go through the freeze and thaw cycles, it is important that we take valuable and proactive steps to prevent issues. Due to the tilt of the Earth’s axis, the northern hemisphere begins to see the winter-scape come back to life with daffodils blooming, grass greening, and temperatures warming during late March into early April. As exciting as that can be, so many things need to be done to prepare for the warmer season, including spring cleaning, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors tested, and filters changed.

The activities I do to prepare for warmer weather is check every HVAC system in each community and ask Plant Operations Directors if they have regularly changed filters and cleaned all coils, to ensure their systems run properly during the summer season. A great benefit is to ensure all systems will run properly, by maintaining them on a weekly and monthly preventive maintenance schedule, to avoid costly repairs.

By cleaning each community on a regular basis, it helps with dust that can cause health issues and clogged filters in HVAC systems.

Before you break out the patio furniture and start planting your gardens, you might want to be like the experts at Arrow Senior Living and get your home ready for a headache-free season.
