Beginning on Thanksgiving Day, our communities will be honoring acts of gratitude and kindness. December 1st kicks off our celebration of Advent, among other exciting traditions, and concludes with a 12 Days of Christmas Culinary Challenge and moments for Three Kings Day and Orthodox Christmas.

On the 44th day of Holiday Cheer, in honor of Three Kings Day and recognition of Poverty Awareness Month, a few of our residents organized a housewares and clothing drive to donate to a local organization!
With a little help from Austin, our Resident Services Director, all the donations made it to their destination tonight in hopes that someone will be able to cherish them just as much as we did!

Itβs day 44!!! Itβs Three Kings Day, and to celebrate we made a cake! Three King`s Cake (or bread) is closely allied with the traditions around the Epiphany (January 6th). This date commemorates the visit the Three Wise Men made to the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. In Mexico, the day is a gift-giving holiday. Tradition states this bread be served, garnished with the "jewels" of fruit and nuts.
